Spring snow melt creates perfect trout fly-fishing conditions on the Fraser, Colorado, & Blue Rivers. Ask us about river access right out the back door! If still water is more your style, several nearby lakes are beckoning.
Thinner air = longer drives! Grand County is home to 4 world-class golf courses. We suggest Pole Creek: 10 minutes away, delightfully challenging, and the views make even the worst shots far more enjoyable!
Miles and miles of scenic trails await for all skill levels. Stick to the valley floor or head up into the hills. Know the conditions and be prepared for weather & wildlife encounters. Lots of info and trail maps here.
The Fraser-to-Granby Bike Trail goes right through Tabernash. Hop on there or drive to any number of trails for beginners or experts alike. Winter Park Resort converts to a top notch downhill park in the Summer.

Try some whitewater on the Colorado River or hit the open water on Grand Lake. There’s no shortage of watersports options. Several outfitters offer tours.
Head out on some of the most picturesque lakes between Granby and Grand Lake. Rentals are available. We have room for a boat in the driveway too!
Hugging the Continental Divide, the area gets a ton of great snow. Winter Park and Granby Ranch offer the resort experience, and there are many backcountry areas. The powder calls, but know your limits!
Some of the best XC skiing in Colorado. Three Nordic Centers provide groomed and marked trails. Rentals and lessons available. Snowshoe trails abound in a variety of terrain. Know the conditions before you go!
Huge fun for all ages! Five sledding hills around the area provide the whole experience, including carpet lifts, warming huts, and concessions. A great alternative to the ski slopes.

View and explore a vast display of mountain terrain and wildlife. Go sightseeing, hiking, fishing, or climbing. About 40 minutes away. Trail Ridge Road closes in winter.
A therapeutic natural Hot Springs experience is available at Hot Sulphur Springs, a rustic, historic resort with 22 indoor and outdoor pools.
Several museums & shops reveal the history of the area and the importance of our natural resources. We recommend the Headwaters River Journey museum.
The BLM manages nearly 400k acres in the area. Colorado Parks & Wildlife is the resource for maps, seasons, regulations, and licensing.
